Japanese Athletes Need Less Carbo and More Protein!

I think Japanese athletes generally take too much carbo.

Japanese eat rice as a staple diet.

However, as a sports lover who hope many Japanese athletes compete at global level, I am concerned that Japanese athletes tend to fill their stomach with too much rice.

Eating too much rice?
I know some athletes eat 5 or 6 large bowls of rice at one meal.

To make matters even worse, Japanese, including the athletes, have a custom to combine corbo items, like rice and romen or other noodle.

It seems crystal clear to me a carbo eating athlete can't beat a protein eating one.

You are what you eat.  This is particularly true to athletes.

Not totally denying rice, I would like Japanese athletes to be more careful about balance of what they eat to better compete with foreign athletes.

  1. Bruce Lee example diet. Protein shakes. Than meals that consisted of rice veg and a protein (egg/meat/tofu)....beef liver over rice and veg with oyster sauce favorite.. Liver is most nutritious meat. He was ahead of his time.
